Amazing! You chose the exact same quotes that I chose. These are certainly two very influential educators; one of whom I had the chance to meet in person (T. Berry Brazelton)at the NAEYC conference in Anaheim. I was amazed at how focused Dr. Brazelton was during his speech, even in his nineties! I appreciate him for his honorable contribution to the EC field.

ReplyDeleteI chose the quote by Dr. Brazelton because I just felt it rang true to me personally. Sometimes with parenting I feel like it is trial and error.
That is GREAT that you got to meet Dr. brazelton personally! I am finding out so much more about early childhood since beginning this course.
My sentiments exactly! As parents we have the awesome task of raising (teaching & guiding) young lives to become impeccable adults in the world we live in--sometimes we get it right the first time; other times it takes a few tries:)But we keep at it, because we care.

I choose the same quotes also. I like the T. Berry Brazelton quote because I feel that way as a teacher but I also feel that way as a parent. A mistake does not always mean neglect.
